Depression fills a person with deep despair and hopelessness. It’s not a normal sadness, this condition can engulf your entire routine for days to months. While there are people who are not able to work, eat or sleep properly in this condition, Polish artist Dawid Planeta has chosen art to fight depression.
To help himself come out of depression, Planeta created an imaginary world in his mysterious dark paintings. His project titled ‘Mini People in the Jungle’ depicts a small man travelling through a dark forest, where he faces his weaknesses and fears in form of giant animals with glowing eyes.
Each dark and surreal painting shows what goes inside a depressed person’s head, but in an artistic way. Although the theme of the paintings is ‘depression,’ but his artwork is surprisingly beautiful. We wonder how someone can find such beauty in a depressed state of mind.
Probably anyone who has ever suffered or is suffering from depression can relate to these dark paintings. However, others can also see the beauty in each painting by Planeta. You can see more on his Tumblr and Facebook accounts.
