Photographer shares an eye with various animals for surreal portraits Photography

Flora Borsi, a self-taught artist and photographer from Hungary, has become one with different animal species in her amazing “Animeyed” photo series. To created the freakishly awesome effects in surreal self-portraits, she posed along with various animals, sharing one of her eyes with different species.

Amazed by the peculiarity of each species, Borsi tries to form similarity between different creatures. In each photograph, she positions animals in such a way that they cover her right and forces the viewers to look both human and animal as one.

Forming human-animal hybrid portraits, Borsi stares directly at the camera while posing with her animal subjects. The resulting image appears as if Borsi is looking right at us with two bright, bold eyes. For each photo, she does hairstyle and makeup that matches with the photos of each animal. The photoshoot is usually done in one hour, however, the photo manipulation takes around 20 hours for each portrait.
