Oregon artist turns metal objects into an array of metal sculptures Art / Offbeat

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Proving this phase right, Oregon-based artist Del Loose turns scrap metal objects into stunning sculptures. Using old tools, farm equipment, as well as, kitchen utensils, he has sculpted an array of metal sculptures. So, far he has created metal art pieces in shape of birds and fishes and even built two custom cars.

He always wanted to find a constructive hobby to occupy his time. However, he didn’t know much about welding but creating metal objects fascinated him. Someone at his workplace helped him learn the basics of MIG welding so that he could make a couple of sculptures.

His initial attempts were not quite successful, but he never gave up. He kept trying and now he is able to make eye-catching metal sculptures with incredible detailing. Now, he even sells his creations and also exhibits them in a couple galleries in eastern Oregon.

To take a break from metal sculptures for a while, he has also managed to created two functional custom cars. You must have a look at his work. These pictures may inspire you to follow your passion and never give up on what you truly believe in. You can also find out more about him on Facebook.
