The much-awaited premiere of Game Of Thrones season 7 smashed HBO rating records soon after it was aired on HBO on Sunday, July 16th in the US. Taking the fandom of this popular drama series to another level, Russian artist and sculptor Salavat Fidai has carved 16 Game of Thrones-inspired sculptures on graphite pencil tips.

Earlier this year, HBO Asia commissioned Fidai to sculpt 16 pencil micro sculptures carvings that were later exhibited at the K+ Curatorial Space in Scotts Square, Singapore from April 22 – June 4, 2017. The 16 pencils on display included the micro sculpture carvings of the Iron Throne; sigils from House Stark, House Baratheon, House Targaryen, House Greyjoy, and House Lannister; as well as the Hand Of The King pin; Drogon the dragon; Cersei’s new crown; the Three Eyed Raven; the White Walker; the Night’s King, the Titan of Braavos; the Weirwood tree; and two swords – Brienne of Tarth’s Oathkeeper and Jon Snow’s Long Claw.

Fidai is the world-renowned artist in the field of miniature sculpture carving. He creates intricate and detailed art on the tips of pencils with diameters between 2mm and 5mm. Each of his creation is so minute that the viewers need magnifying glasses to admire their fine details. His three-dimensional pencil carvings are as detailed as illustrated portraits.
