Most photographers combine their creative impulses with technical accuracy to capture dreamy photos. But Indian still life photographer Vatsal Kataria brings his dreams into reality in form of miniature life-like models. His DIY project is all about recreating miniature versions of vivid places from his imagination or dreams.
In an interview with Neatorama, Kataria has mentioned that he decided to start this project after seeing a photo of a toy car near a waterfall. That was the time when he thought of creating something like this but without going to different places. Instead, he used his creative imagination and dreams to frame the picture of what he wanted to create.
These tiny models look absolutely stunning. The time frame to develop one tiny model depends on the type and complexity of the project – sometimes it takes him one day, or sometimes a whole week for just one picture. He creates these masterpieces using various products such as plaster of Paris, baking powder, pit sand, and clay.
He often uses cheapest materials to create everything he wants and the end results are amazing. We’re sure you’d have loved to visit these imaginary tiny places if they existed in reality. Nevertheless, you can still enjoy the beauty of these dreamy places in the images given below. You can also see more of Kataria’s work on his website, Facebook or Instagram.
